The purpose of the ISCL is to encourage the comparative study of law and legal systems and to seek affiliation with individuals and organisations with complimentary aims. We were established in June 2008 and are recognised by the International Academy of Comparative Law.

BACL ANNUAL SEMINAR 2017 ‘COMPARING UK AND IRISH LAW: A SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP? JOINT SEMINAR OF THE BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF COMPARATIVE LAW AND THE IRISH SOCIETY OF COMPARATIVE LAW

The British Association of Comparative Law (BACL) held its annual seminar, jointly with the Irish Society of Comparative Law, at University College, Dublin on 5 September 2017. To celebrate BACL’s first annual seminar in Ireland, the seminar reflected on the relationship between UK and Irish law in the fields of land law, banking regulation, language legislation and consumer law.
